Raised on his family farm near Wickepin, Steve has spent much of his life connected to regional Western Australia. Before entering politics, he worked as a journalist and later returned to the family farming business with his wife, Debbie, where they have raised their two sons.
Steve has a strong history of community service, including serving as Wickepin Shire President and Deputy President of the Western Australian Local Government Association.
First elected to the Legislative Council in 2021, Steve is currently Shadow Minister for Transport, Ports, Small Business and Communities, as well as Deputy President and Chair of Committees in the Legislative Council.
Join us for breakfast and hear directly from Hon Steve Martin MLC about the issues facing regional WA, small business and our broader communities, with an opportunity to ask questions and connect with fellow members and guests.
