The 500 Club Sundowner – Meet the State’s Upper House

Little Things Gin Distillery

August 4, 2026

On Tuesday, 4th August 2026, The 500 Club was delighted to host an exclusive Legislative Council Sundowner at Little Things Gin Distillery in Subiaco.

The evening brought together members, guests, and the entire Liberal Legislative Council team, providing a unique opportunity to connect directly with those playing an important role in shaping Western Australia’s future. In a relaxed and informal setting, attendees enjoyed meaningful conversations with Members of the Legislative Council, discussing the issues impacting business, industry, and the wider community.

Leader of the Opposition, Basil Zempilas MLA, welcomed guests and shared an update on the current political landscape, while highlighting the important contribution made by the Legislative Council team. Hon. Nick Goiran MLC then introduced each Member of the Legislative Council, outlining their respective shadow portfolios and the breadth of experience they bring to Parliament. The evening created a valuable platform for members and guests to engage directly with elected representatives, ask questions and build meaningful connections.

The 500 Club extends its sincere thanks to Little Things Gin Distillery for their outstanding hospitality. As a proudly locally owned distillery in the heart of Subiaco, their team welcomed guests with a complimentary gin on arrival and provided exceptional service throughout the evening, helping to create a warm and enjoyable atmosphere.

Guests also enjoyed a delicious selection of handcrafted canapés, generously sponsored by the wonderful team at Feed Catering. Their beautifully presented menu showcased fresh, locally sourced produce and was enjoyed by everyone in attendance.

The 500 Club is equally grateful for the continued support of our major sponsor, Grand Cru Wineshop & Cellar. Vince and his team once again went above and beyond, generously supplying a personally curated selection of premium wines, champagne and beer for our members and guests to enjoy throughout the evening. Their longstanding commitment to supporting The 500 Club is sincerely appreciated and plays an important role in helping us deliver high-quality events that bring together Western Australia’s business and political communities.

Events such as these are at the heart of The 500 Club’s purpose creating opportunities for the business community to engage directly with political leaders, strengthen relationships and contribute to conversations that shape the future of Western Australia.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to welcoming you to our next event.
